We started writing for the next record today. It’s exciting for us because we haven’t worked on anything new in probably six months or so. We’re trying out a completely different approach to anything we’ve ever tried before, so I guess we’ll see what happens. I’m pretty pumped, though.

In between starting this post and finishing it, we went out to get barbecue at a new place called Hopper’s that’s at the ass end of Saint Charles. I had an amazing brisket sandwich and the ribs were pretty great, too.

I think it’s astonishing (not to mention appalling) that things have gotten so fucking bad in this country that the goddamn president gets booed at a baseball game. That’s insane to me. Here’s looking to November:
